Christmas Letter 2025

Happy Holidays from the Holden Family!   2025 was a good year. We did a fair amount of traveling: Ohio (Cleveland/Rock n’ Roll Hall of Fame/Football Hall of Fame) in February, trips to Matamoras to see Heather’s family in March, May, July, October and December, Clearwater, FL in June, (Heather and Jamie Anniversary trip), and a two week stretch of the Saranac Lake Islands, Vermont, Connecticut (to visit the MacDonald Family), and Rhode Island in August for our family vacation. Eli also spent a week in July at Houghton University for a camp with his youth group. Heather and Jamie used the time to slip away to the Adirondack high peaks region and hike a series of 5 mountains known as the Dix Range. As a family, one of the things we do best together is travel! We all truly enjoy an adventure, experiencing new places, new foods, and meeting new people. Christmas Letter 2024

Greetings, Family and Friends!  Here it is… Christmas once again!  What a year 2024 was for our family. A year of transitions and the start of a new chapter. It was, once again, a year filled to the brim with activity! We’ve chronicled our family adventures on Facebook for the past several years as a means of recording/scrapbooking for Eli someday (we print the year’s posts and pictures in a family album) and keeping in touch with family and friends. Most of you keep up with us this way, but here’s the year in review!  Last year, at this time, we were living with my in-laws and our new home in OP was framed, but didn’t have drywall, electrical wiring, or plumbing yet.  Jamie was recovering from two hip replacements in August and November of 2023. Early 2024 brought the discovery of an additional herniated disc in his lower back that was pinching a nerve and causing continued pain after the hip surgeries.
